Serve families with FER
Volunteer program
FER welcomes dependable adults who support its educational mission and a child’s opportunity for healthy relationships with both parents. Opportunities may include educational events, member orientation, office support, outreach, fundraising, technical help, and professional referrals.
Volunteer attorneys
Licensed attorneys may apply to help FER review educational questions or offer clearly defined consultation hours. FER verifies current licensing and obtains approval before publishing a directory profile. Volunteering does not automatically create an attorney-client relationship with FER or any member.
Review and expectations
- Applications are reviewed for fit, availability, identity, and relevant credentials.
- Some roles may require references, a background check, confidentiality terms, training, or professional-license verification.
- FER decides whether and when a role is available and may end an assignment when needed.
- Volunteers must protect member information and may access only what their assigned role requires.
